For the second reading, Daughter A. was ready to read the whole book in one sitting. You have to know your student. Some students will fly through a book the first time, and do not require a second reading. Some will need both the first and second readings broken into two days--or even more. Remember that our goal is to never overwork the brain and so frustrate the child. As long as you keep this goal in mind, you'll be able to decide how many days to spend on each book.
